The Bears players and organization are stepping up big time to help with relief efforts downstate in the wake of last Sunday’s devastating tornadoes and storms.

The team has established a website — ChicagoBears.com/tornadorelief — where fans can make donations and also bid on auction items, with the monies raised all going to the Red Cross.

And then some. The organization will match donations dollar for dollar, including what is raised with the help of the St. Louis Rams. The Rams have given the Bears a 16-person suite, complete with passes, food and more, for this Sunday’s game, to be included in the auction.

Marc Trestman, Kyle Long and others are wearing “Washington Panthers” T-shirts to spotlight the community and its high school football team.
