The Jay Cutler injury saga spins onward.
Thursday brought the latest update, when the injured Bears quarterback was wearing a hard cast on his sprained ankle during practice.
Cutler sustained a high ankle sprain in the fourth quarter of the Bears' loss to the Lions on Sunday. This after the weeks-long focus on a groin injury suffered against the Redskins.
Cutler was spotted carrying, not wearing, a walking boot when he left Soldier Field on Sunday.
Bears head coach Marc Trestman said the hard cast was "precautionary" and "week-to-week."
