Jimmy Graham was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month on Thursday for his impressive performance in September.
Graham became the first tight end to be honored since the league started presenting this achievement in 1986. In four games, he has 27 receptions for 458 yards with six touchdowns.
The Saints tight end has made an immediate impact in the NFL since being drafted in 2010.
"He's one of the elite tight ends," said Lance Briggs on his show on Tuesday. "He's a dominating guy. He's a guy that covered up and showed (Monday) that he's still going to make plays for you. He's a great outlet for Drew (Brees) if he ever gets into trouble."
