J'Marcus Webb, who started along the Bears offensive line for the past few seasons, said goodbye to Chicago via his Twitter account Friday morning, indicating that he was among the cuts made by the team following their final preseason game Thursday night.
Good bye, Chicago! I gave you 3 years of me.— J'Marcus Webb (@jmarcuswebb) August 30, 2013
Webb, who was in his fourth year with the team after being selected in the seventh round of the 2010 draft, started in all but four Bears games over the past three seasons. Often the target of fan frustration about an offensive line that had difficulty protecting quarterback Jay Cutler, Webb played poorly in Thursday's preseason finale against the Cleveland Browns. His potential release has been rumored throughout the preseason.
