In his rookie season, Detroit Lions safety Louis Delmas was given a gift by former teammate Ernie Sims.

Now, five years later, Delmas has officially lost his "Mojo." And yes, Mojo (and the gift) is exactly what you were thinking -- a pet alligator.

Delmas has parted ways with his 6-foot long pet because it was too large to keep in his house, and also his new roommate (and teammate) Kevin Ogletree wanted him out.

Mojo stayed in a 36-square-foot tank in Delmas' basement but has a new home now. The Allen Park Critter shop has picked up Mojo, who lives at the store, and is being attended to by owner Rick Simms.
