Apparently, the low man always wins in the Long household.

That's what Bears rookie guard Kyle Long has learned about leverage ever since he was young.

"You gotta come off the ball with a good base and get your butt down," the former Oregon Duck said.

Long trained with Jay Glazer of FOX Sports in the offseason and really credits his work with him as to the reason why he's gotten such good leverage so far against opposing defensive linemen.

"The thing that really benefited me was this offseason working in MMA class and getting to do some mixed martial arts working with Jay Glazer in Los Angeles," Long said. "A lot of that stuff is leverage based."

Long has started all four of the Bears' games in 2013 after starting only 11 games his entire career at Oregon.
