As part of our coverage leading up to the 2015 NFL Draft we will provide profiles of 200 prospects, including what the scouts around the league are saying and video interviews with each player.

Reese Dismukes (C), Auburn

6’3” | 296 lbs.

Projection:

3rd round

What scouts are saying:

"Is almost light for today's standards and doesn't possess ideal length or power. Short arms (32") and small hands (8 1/4") that actually were the smallest measured by any player in the 2015 Senior Bowl. Struggled when covered up by a powerful nose guard, failing to get consistent movement at the point of attack." — Rob Rang, CBSSports.com

"Shows good quickness and good awareness in pass protection. Has a good punch on quick sets and pass-sets with depth when sorting out blitzes and twists. Works up to the second level and will seal and latch linebackers. Stays low when uncovered and works well with his guards. Showed an ability to take care of business when asked to block on the move in Senior Bowl practices." — Lance Zierlein, NFL.com

"Steady four-year starter who was considered a leader in the locker room for Auburn. Despite being highly decorated at Auburn, his tape was very marginal as a base blocker; however, his ability to play in space was highlighted at the Senior Bowl and could get him drafted on the third day." — Lance Zierlein, NFL.com

Fit for the Bears:

With the departure of Roberto Garza, the Bears confirmed they're headed in a different direction in hopes of getting younger at the center position. Will Montgomery, 32, signed a one-year deal with Chicago, but seems to be more of a rental than a long-term solution. Reese Dismukes, who started all four years at Auburn facing SEC competition, could be the answer and would quickly evolve into a leader in the locker room, something the Bears lacked last year. It's unclear when the Bears will shift their attention to offense during the NFL Draft, but Dismukes is a very reasonable option in the third round.
