6’3” | 307 lbs.

2014 stats:

61 tackles, 13 TFL, 2 forced fumbles

Projection:

4th round

What scouts are saying:

"Davison is a powerful defensive tackle who has above-average athleticism and saw his overall production spike in 2014. He is well-conditioned and can play all three downs if called upon to do so. With his athleticism, balance and power, Davison has the potential to be an outstanding pro, but he must prove that he can bring those same traits into play against better competition." - NFL.com's Lance Zierlein

"The powerful nose tackle possesses a NFL frame for the position along with long arms (33 2/8") and knows how to use them to his advantage. Is very quick off the snap and is not easy to block. He is strong as an ox and is well built overall. Uses his wide frame to get off the ball and has developed an impressive resume of pass rushing skills. Can anchor and be a hard object to move especially when he plays with a low pad level. Is able to shed blocks and locate the football." - CBS Sports' Bo Marchionte

Fit for the Bears:

If you've followed us this long, by now you know the drill. The Bears defensive line is aging (Jared Allen), injured (Willie Young, Lamar Houston) and unproven (Ego Ferguson, Will Sutton). So when Vic Fangio makes the transition to a 3-4 defense he's going to need to re-tool the position, and Davison absolutely could fit in somewhere. The fact that he's got an NFL frame is a building block, and if he can play all three downs he'll find a spot on a defensive line rotation. The Bears could use him, and in the fourth round they could add to their depth (and get younger).
