What others think of you doesn’t really matter (with the exceptions of our bosses, spouses and selected other significants) but it’s nice to be held in some high regard by peers and colleagues.

Results from the latest 10 players ID’d in NFL Network’s “Top 100,” voted on exclusively by NFL players, reveal that Marshall (No. 36) is rated slightly higher than Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (No. 38). Marshall becomes the fifth Bear (Matt Forte, 91; Tim Jennings, 74, Jared Allen, 68; and Alshon Jeffery, 54) to show up on the list

“You talk about a guy who doesn’t mind getting hit, that’s Brandon Marshall,” said Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor. “When you talk about a guy with body control, that’s Brandon Marshall.”

“He dominates the game on Sunday, he dominates in practice,” Jennings said. “The guy is just a workhorse.”
