Quarterback Jordan Palmer is reportedly returning to the Chicago Bears.
Following Jay Cutler’s groin injury which he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Redskins, the Bears will re-sign Palmer, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
With Jay Cutler going down today with an injury, the Bears will re-sign QB Jordan Palmer, per @FieldYates and me.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 20, 2013
Palmer, younger brother of Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer, originally signed with the Bears earlier this season on Aug. 16, but was released a day after the team’s final preseason game on Aug. 30.
In his career, he's appeared in four games with the Cincinnati Bengals and completed 10 of his 15 pass attempts for 59 yards.
Cutler suffered the injury in the second quarter and did not return to the game.
