The Bears could use a backup to Matt Forte following the departure of Michael Bush, and Thomas could fit that bill.
A projected second/third-round pick by NFL.com, Thomas has many different tools that could benefit the Bears at present. In addition to backing up at running back, Thomas' speed and playmaking abilities make him a potential return man or even wide receiver.
Could the Bears spend one of their early picks on Thomas? Meeting with him Tuesday could help them determine that.
