One year after being fired following a 10-win season with the Bears, Lovie Smith has found a new home.
According to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer, Smith has agreed to become the next head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Multiple reports list the contract length to be four years.

Smith has reportedly been the favorite to land in Tampa Bay since the Bucs fired Greg Schiano after a 4-12 season. The Lions were also rumored to have interest in Smith if he did not sign with the Bucs. Smith had a career record of 81-63 as coach of the Bears.
Bears fans will be able to greet Smith in 2014 as the Bucs are scheduled to play the Bears next season.
