Maybe it’s something about Thursdays ...

On their last day of intense practice, the Bears and Baltimore Ravens each had new starters either unable to practice or be limited for the first time.

Bears tight end Martellus Bennett was held out of practice with an ankle injury, while Jordan Mills was limited due to a quad issue, the first time the rookie right tackle has appeared on the injury report this season.

One week ago it was defensive end Shea McClellin finishing the Thursday practice with a hamstring strain that kept him out of the Detroit game. He has not practiced since then and is not expected to be ready for the Ravens on Sunday.

Out in Baltimore, the Ravens added defensive end Chris Canty to the did-not-participate list with a knee injury after he was not on the Wednesday report.

Starting nose tackle Haloti Ngata (knee), middle linebacker Darryl Smith (thigh) and cornerback Ladarius Webb (groin) did not practice for the second day.
