A day after the Bears' 21-19 loss to the Lions, head coach Marc Trestman said his team may have benefited from pulling quarterback Jay Cutler sooner than he did.

Cutler suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's game on top of the sore groin he sustained back on Oct. 20 in a game against the Redskins. After watching tape, Trestman told WBBM Newsradio's Josh Liss that if he had it to do over again, he probably would have put backup Josh McCown in earlier.

“I went through the tape closely this morning, and watched Jay’s performance, and I thought he did well into the fourth quarter,” Trestman said. “But at the end of the day, you know, if we had to do it all over again, maybe it would be one series before the two-minute drill.”
