When a team is on the verge of a losing season like the Cleveland Browns, the backup quarterback is one of the most popular names in town. Now, Alex Tanney could be the most unique they have ever had.
The former Monmouth College quarterback who is commonly known as the “Trick Shot Quarterback,” was signed by the Browns from the Dallas Cowboys practice squad Tuesday morning.
Since Tanney was signed from the practice squad, he must stay on the Browns active roster for three weeks. That time frame would make him eligible to play against his hometown Bears in Week 15.
