John Elway's "helicopter" touchdown run in Super Bowl XXXII is one of the more iconic moments in NFL history. Josh McCown, though unintentional, paid tribute to the run Monday night with a spin-o-rama TD rush of his own.
In the first half of Monday night's Bears-Cowboys game, McCown rushed toward the end zone, greeted by a group of Cowboy defenders, one of which hit the Bears quarterback. That hit initiated the helicopter motion. But the play resulted in a touchdown, the most important thing.
McCown has been very impressive this season filling in for Jay Cutler. But this play earns McCown a comparison to another former Bronco.
