Adrian Peterson rushed for 100 yards but 36 of those came on one carry and the Minnesota franchise tailback never took over a game that was the Vikings’ to win. Peterson had 37 yards on 15 carries in the second half.
The defensive performance was a group effort but depends on the line preventing Peterson from getting into the second level with momentum. That rarely happened.

Corey Wootton had a strong game with a first-quarter sack and a hurry, with Shea McClellin lending a hand on the sack. McClellin also forced a third-down throwaway with a near sack. Wootton also recovered a Peterson fumble, forced by Nick Collins.
But Wootton’s was the only sack on 37 Christian Ponder drop-backs, although Ponder was forced to run six times. Collins had three tackles, Henry Melton and Stephen Paea two each, and McClellin and Julius Peppers one each. No lineman was involved in a tackle for loss.
