Gap-fills were key in run support against Adrian Peterson and linebackers were pivotal in containing Peterson. Lance Briggs was a force with blitzes, and finished with 10 tackles, one for loss, and three passes deflected.
James Anderson broke up a pass in the red zone in the third quarter. Anderson collected nine tackles, one for a loss and was again a positive portion of nickel coverage in addition to dealing with Peterson.
“I was telling people this is giving me high blood pressure,” Anderson said. “I didn’t know if I could take all of this.”
