Matt Forte’s 53-yard burst off his right side in the second quarter was a highlight. His five yards on the other five carries of the first half were not.
But Forte recovered to rush for 95 yards on 14 carries and caught five of six passes thrown to him to finish with 108 total yards. Not stellar but Detroit's first-half scoring limited what backs could be used for by the Bears in the second half.
“I’m more disappointed that it’s a divisional opponent that we lost to,” Forte said. “We faced some adversity. We have to get the next one when we face them. That’s what’s most disappointing thing about it is that the Lions are a divisional opponent. You don’t want to lose those games.”
