With the Bears possibly searching for a backup quarterback, would Josh Freeman be a good option?

Freeman worked out for the Bears over the weekend and with Josh McCown having departed to Tampa Bay, the only backup behind Jay Cutler right now is Jordan Palmer, who hasn't had much experience the last couple years.

Freeman, a former starter with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, found his way to Minnesota last year and was shaky in limited playing time with the Vikings.

But this is a guy who is still only 26 and has two seasons of 25+ touchdowns on his resume. Could Mark Trestman, "The Quarterback Whisperer," help turn Freeman's career around?
