The Badgers will be battling 4 Atlantis this Thanksgiving, and they could be battling against some of the best teams in college basketball.
The bracket for the Battle 4 Atlantis was released Tuesday, and the Badgers could have a pair of monumental showdowns in the three-game event.
Wisconsin starts off with a game against UAB, but it's a potential second-round matchup with Florida and a potential championship-round matchup against North Carolina that has college hoops fans salivating. Both the Badgers and the Gators were Final Four teams in this spring's NCAA tournament. And, of course, the Tar Heels are a perennial power.
This event is loaded. Five of the eight participants played in last season's tournament, and there are 20 national championships among the field.

Florida will have to beat Georgetown to see Wisconsin in the second round. North Carolina's first game is against Butler, and a win over the winner of UCLA-Oklahoma would be required for the Heels to reach the championship.
The Badgers faced off with the Gators last season and won, scoring a huge win over a team that would end up spending a great deal of time ranked No. 1.
Shortly after this Thanksgiving-weekend tournament in the Bahamas, the Badgers will return to Madison to take on Duke. It sets up a potentially phenomenal stretch of basketball, a very difficult one and one that could affect NCAA tournament seeding. In November and December.
Wisconsin reaped the rewards of a tough non-conference schedule last season, beating all its opponents on that portion of the schedule. It made Bo Ryan's Badgers a high seed in the tourney, and it looks like they'll be employing the same strategy this season.
