There won't be a new border war, but Ohio State and Kentucky will be on the same court at the start of the 2015-16 hoops season.
The Buckeyes and Wildcats will be the two featured participants in an early season event sponsored by the Basketball Hall of Fame to take place Nov. 27, 2015, in Miami, according to a report from ESPN's Jeff Goodman.
A doubleheader the day after Thanksgiving will see Thad Matta's Buckeyes battle Memphis, while John Calipari's Wildcats will take on South Florida.
Ohio State has only taken on Memphis once during the Matta Era, a win for the Buckeyes.

What would really get hoops fans to watch would be a showdown between Ohio State and Kentucky. It'd be a nice opportunity for revenge for Matta, whose Buckeyes lost to the Wildcats in the programs' lone meeting during Matta's tenure in Columbus. Ohio State is 9-11 vs. Kentucky all-time.
It'll be the second consecutive season in which the two schools are involved in the same early season event without playing each other. The Buckeyes and Wildcats will both compete in this December's CBS Sports Classic at the United Center in Chicago, with Ohio State facing off with North Carolina and Kentucky playing UCLA.
