Denzel Valentine isn't the only college hoopster in the Great Lakes State that can deliver a triple-double.

Caris LeVert recorded just the fourth triple-double in Michigan basketball history Tuesday night, scoring 13 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and handing out 10 assists in the Wolverines' 77-62 win over Northern Kentucky.

LeVert joined Gary Grant, Manny Harris and Darius Morris as Wolverines with a triple-double. Morris' on Jan. 30, 2011, was the most recent prior to LeVert's exploits Tuesday.

LeVert grabbed the headlines late for his impressive statistical feat, but the story early was 3-pointers, as Michigan banged home eight of its first 12 attempts from behind the arc.

Duncan Robinson, quickly establishing himself as one of college hoops' preeminent 3-point specialists, splashed home six triples on the night, finishing with a game-high 18 points. The six 3s were a season-high for the sophomore, but it was the fourth time in the last five games in which Robinson's hit at least five 3-pointers. Robinson has averaged 15.7 points per game over the last six games and has 39 made 3-pointers on the season.

Robinson and LeVert were two of five Michigan players in double figures, with Derrick Walton Jr. scoring 16 points in his first game back following a three-game absence, Mark Donnal scoring 11 points off the bench and Zak Irvin contributing 10 points.

The win bumped the Wolverines to 8-3 on the season. They have two more non-conference games — against Youngstown State and Bryant — prior to the start of Big Ten play.
