Looking for a football series that would be much more intriguing as a basketball series? Well look no further!
Like Illinois and North Carolina before them, Indiana and Cincinnati announced a home-and-home football series on Wednesday, setting up matchups in 2021 and 2022.
The Hoosiers are five-time national champions in basketball. The Bearcats have won a pair of their own. On the football field, Indiana has a 41.4 all-time winning percentage, and Cincinnati is a little better with a 48.6 all-time winning percentage.

But this is football, folks. The two teams will play in Bloomington in 2021 and in Cincinnati in 2022.
"Facing Cincinnati reinforces our commitment to adding strong non-conference programs to our future schedules," Indiana athletics director Fred Glass said in Indiana's release. "It is a great opportunity for our large alumni base in the Greater Cincinnati Area to come out and watch the Hoosiers. Along with the addition of UConn (2019, 2020), we are set up to reach our goal of playing seven home games every season and are consistent with the Big Ten's policy that each school play at least one major conference opponent in the non-conference each year."
Cincinnati, a member of the American Athletic Conference, is making a habit of going up against Big Ten teams. The Bearcats play Ohio State this year and played both Purdue and Illinois last year. They'll play Purdue again in 2016, Michigan in 2017, Ohio State in 2019 and Nebraska in 2020 before the home-and-home with the Hoosiers.
