Michigan State is the defending Big Ten champion. And there's a nearby team that's none too pleased about it.
Supposedly, Michigan has a sign hanging in its weight room to that effect:
Stephen Loszewski tells me that UM has a huge sign in weight room that reads, “MSU, B1G Champs. What are you going to do about it?”— Joshua Henschke (@JoshuaHenschke) July 24, 2014

It's a nice little motivational tool for a program that is famous for hating its rivals. Brady Hoke calls Ohio State simply "Ohio," which for some reason is a dig. And there's the whole fiasco with the Michigan-Notre Dame rivalry coming to an end. One rivalry that will likely never come to an end is the Michigan-Michigan State rivalry, but that doesn't mean that the Wolverines are happy with what Hoke might start calling "the team with the green helmets."
All that being said, the Wolverines aren't in the best position to "do something about" the Spartans right now. Last season's game was a beatdown handed out by Mark Dantonio's team. The Spartans won, 29-6, holding the Wolverines to just 168 total yards including a jaw-dropping -48 rushing yards.
Michigan State figures to again compete for a Big Ten title. What's Michigan going to do about it?
