Ten Gophers receive indefinite suspensions

Ten Minnesota football players have been suspended, the university announced Tuesday night.

Ray Buford, Carlton Djam, Seth Green, KiAnte Hardin, Dior Johnson, Tamarion Johnson, Kobe McCrary, Antonio Shenault, Mark Williams and Antoine Winfield Jr. have all been handed indefinite suspensions.

According to the Star Tribune, four of the players on that list were suspended earlier this season after violating team rules and sat out three games during a police investigation into a September incident. They were reinstated after no charges were pressed. Five of the players suspended Tuesday, including the four who were previously suspended, had restraining orders filed against them by the victim of the incident. Those restraining orders were dismissed in early November.

Minnesota takes on Washington State in the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 27.
