How does it feel to snap a four-year losing streak in a rivalry game?
Illinois athletics posted this video on their Instagram page after the Illini grabbed a 65-64 win over No. 23 Missouri in Saturday's Braggin' Rights game in St. Louis. The always emotional rivalry game got an extra shot of adrenaline thanks to a thrilling finish that featured the teams trading 3-pointers and Illinois guard Tracy Abrams converting a pair of free-throw attempts to give the Illini their game-winning advantage.
Missouri had won the last four meetings between the two teams entering Saturday night's matchup.
So, you can see why the Illini were so excited. So excited that head coach John Groce had to get in on the celebration.
