While many will tell you preseason award watch lists aren't terribly important, most will also share which players have been named to them.

Just because a player is listed on a watch list doesn't mean he'll end up as a finalist for the award, and just because a player isn't listed on a watch list doesn't mean he can't win the award. But college football players aren't as well-known as their NFL counterparts (in most cases), so watch lists do just what the phrase indicates: help provide a list of players to watch.

Plus, it's July, and it makes for a nice bit of summer football news.

Monday saw a bombardment of award watch lists, with the Hornung Award, the Maxwell Award and the Bednarik Award all releasing their watch lists. And, though the lists are all pretty lengthy, there were quite a few Big Ten names that popped up on all three. So, without further ado, here are the Big Ten players who landed on award watch lists Monday morning.
