Michal Handzus returned home to the city of Banska Bystrica in central Slovakia as thousands lined the streets to get a chance to see the cup.
There were over 10,000 people at the rally for Handzus, all of whom were excited to see him bring back the Stanley Cup for the first time.

Handzus, 36, has spent 15 seasons in the NHL before finally getting his taste from Lord Stanley's Cup.
After being traded to the Hawks at the deadline, Handzus was a crucial part of their championship run throughout the second half of the season and into the playoffs.
Handzus scored 4 goals and 13 points since joining the Hawks mid-season. He resigned with the Hawks this offseason on antoher one-year deal.
