The Blackhawks and Finnish goalie Antti Raanta have agreed to a one-year deal, the team announced Monday.
The 24-year-old spent last season with Assat Pori of SM-liiga in Finland, compiling a 1.85 goals against average and and a .943 save percentage for the league's championship-winning team. In 45 games, he led the SM-liiga in GAA and save percentage and was fifth in shutouts.
In his five-year career in the SM-liiga, Raanta posted a 48-27-16 record. He also appeared in the 2013 IIHF World Championship, going 4-3 with a 2.09 GAA and a .928 save percentage for Finland.
