BOSTON -- Marian Hossa was a late scratch after apparently getting hurt in warmups as the Chicago Blackhawks took on the Boston Bruins in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday night.

What happened is not quite clear. Hossa took part in warmups, and reportedly was hurt during them. When the roster report was released, Hossa was among the scratches.

Ben Smith was in the starting lineup for the Blackhawks. It's his first postseason action since the Blackhawks' first-round series against the Vancouver Canucks in the spring of 2011. In that series, Smith played seven games and scored three goals.

An update on Hossa's status was not immediately given.
