The Stanley Cup has held champagne, beer and just about every beverage imaginable. It's held some food, too. But pierogies? Could this be a first for Lord Stanley?

Marian Hossa is spending the weekend with the Stanley Cup in his native Slovakia, and while visiting his family, he ate some pierogies out of hockey's ultimate prize.

Hossa has been one of his hometown's favorite sons for some time now, being a 15-year veteran of the NHL, but he's getting the star treatment again this weekend, putting the championship trophy on display in Trenchin.
