Sgt. Dale Dick has been in Afghanistan with the National Guard for the past nine months. During that time his wife had a baby boy.

Having never met his son, Sgt. Dick reached out to the Blackhawks hoping they would help him conjure up a surprise to reunite with his family at Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final.

The Hawks organization contacted his wife and two children inviting them to Game 2, completely unaware that their father would be standing next to Jim Cornelison during the national anthem.

It was an emotional reunion captured on video as his little girl jumped into his arms and a father laid eyes on his son for the first time.
