According to TSN's Bob McKenzie, Boston defenseman Johnny Boychuk will not face supplemental discipline for his hit on Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews in Game 5. Boychuk hit Toews high in Game 5, and the center didn't return the ice after the hit.

“It was just a physical game and you’re going to be hitting,” Boychuk said. “You just try to make your hits as clean as possible. I thought it was a clean hit, and we’ll take it from there.”

CSN New England's Joe Haggerty reported that the NHL looked at Boychuk's hit before McKenzie reported there would be no discipline for the Boston blue-liner. Haggerty also pointed out Boychuk has never been disciplined for a hit in his four-year career.
