We may be seeing another Quenneville in the NHL sooner rather than later.

On Thursday NHL.com released its latest Central Scouting report, upgrading John Quenneville — the second cousin of Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville — to their "A Watch" list.

The younger Quenneville — who is also the nephew of Boston Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk (by marriage) — is listed at 6-foot-0, 182 pounds. The left-hander has recorded 23 goals (seven on the power play), 53 points and 51 penalty minutes in 55 games with the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings.

"I liked [Quenneville] a lot when I saw him," Central Scouting's David Gregory said in his report. "He has the pro makeup and is a hard-worker. He makes good plays very quickly and is good at moving the puck. I'd like to see more consistency from him, but I like the way he finds open spaces and his ability to make any kind of pass."
