The Blackhawks added another defenseman to their depth chart on Wednesday as they agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Kyle Cumiskey.

The 27-year-old has spent the last two seasons playing with MODO of the Swedish Hockey League and tallied four goals and 24 assists in 45 games throughout the 2013-14 campaign.

Before heading overseas, Cumiskey appeared in 132 regular-season NHL games with the Colorado Avalanche from 2006-2011 and registered 35 points in those contests. He recorded an additional two points throughout 10 playoffs games during the 2010 season.

Cumiskey was originally selected by the Avalanche in the seventh round of the 2005 NHL Draft.
