Blackhawks aim to end Coyotes' Chicago success
November 14, 2013, 8:00 am
The Blackhawks tallied 10 goals and a pair of victories in back-to-back games against the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers over the weekend before having a few days to finally get some rest.
Now the defending Stanley Cup champions are hosting the Phoenix Coyotes (13-4-2) for this first time this season.
[PULSE UPDATE: Blackhawks impressing from top to bottom]
The Coyotes have been off to a strong start this year and have won seven of their last eight games as they stand in second place in the Pacific Division, just three points behind the league-leading Anaheim Ducks. They're entering tonight's game following a 3-2 overtime win against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.
The Blackhawks will have some work ahead of them if they want to extend their win streak to four games as Phoenix has won the last six matchups inside the United Center, stemming back to 2012 when the Coyotes eliminated the Blackhawks from the playoffs.
