Blackhawks: Brandon Pirri shines for AHL All-Stars

While the Chicago Blackhawks are on the Olympic break, the American Hockey League wages on.

Wednesday night, the AHL All-Stars took down Färjestad BK of the Swedish Hockey League in a 7-2 win.

Brandon Pirri of the Rockford Icehogs (the Blackhawks' AHL affiliate) scored two goals and added an assist in the victory.

Pirri won the AHL's scoring title in 2012-13 with 22 games and 53 assists. The 22-year-old center was up with the NHL club for 28 games this season, scoring six goals with five assists and a +6.

Chicago Wolves goalie Jake Allen also contributed for the AHL All-Stars, stopping 14 shots from Färjestad.
