Blackhawks cut 10 players, including Kyle Beach

PITTSBURGH – And then, there were 36.

The Blackhawks cut 10 more players from their training camp roster on Monday before taking on the Pittsburgh Penguins at CONSOL Energy Center.

Forwards Mark McNeill, Garret Ross and Alex Broadhurst, as well as defensemen Dylan Olsen, Klas Dahlbeck and Adam Clendening and goaltender Kent Simpson to the Rockford IceHogs. Forward Teuvo Teravainen, who impressed the Blackhawks staff in his camp, will rejoin his Finnish team Jokerit. Forward Ryan Hartman, who the Blackhawks drafted in June, will return to the Plymouth Whalers of the OHL.

Defenseman Viktor Svedberg was also released from camp. Forward Kyle Beach was placed on waivers, but remains part of the roster until he clears (and goes to Rockford) or is picked up by another team.

The Blackhawks’ roster now includes 23 forwards, 10 defensemen and three goaltenders.
