PHILADELPHIA – The Blackhawks are looking for a new goaltending coach, as they have parted ways with Steve Weeks.

Coach Joel Quenneville said there’s no timeline right now to replace Weeks, who spent just one season with the Blackhawks. Weeks was hired after longtime goaltending coach Stephane Waite departed Chicago for the Montreal Canadiens.

Quenneville didn’t give any specific reason for the change, other than to say it’s “something we just wanted to do.”

As for readjusting to another goaltending coach, Quenneville said it shouldn’t be a problem.

“I just think there’s a little adapting for everyone,” he said. “We’ll make a move.”
