Now the defending Stanley Cup champions will play their second of back-to-back games as they host the Ottawa Senators at the United Center.
The Senators (4-5-2) enter tonight's game following a loss to the San Jose Sharks on Sunday. It's been a bumpy start for the team as they continue to adjust to life without former captain Daniel Alfredsson, who is now playing for the Detroit Red Wings after spending 17 seasons in Ottawa.
But the Senators made a big move this offseason as they acquired former Anaheim Ducks forward Bobby Ryan, who has made a splash by recording nine points in 11 games this season.
