The Blackhawks were only 32 seconds away from their first shutout of the season before Patrick Kane fired a slap shot past Minnesota goaltender Darcy Kuemper, but it wasn't enough to send the game into overtime.

The Jets (24-24-5) are coming into tonight's game following a 5-4 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs just last night. The last two weeks have treated the Jets well, as they've recorded wins in five of their last six games.
