The Globe and Mail's James Mirtle broke down the numbers behind the NHL's attendance around the league, and the Blackhawks are down 1.7 percent since the lockout-shortened championship season. The league as a whole is down 3.2 percent.

Despite the numbers dropping slightly, the Blackhawks are still leading the league by averaging 21,399 fans per game. Montreal's in second with 21,273.
Chicago also led the league last season with an average of 21,775 fans per game.
But as far as this year goes, it's likely those numbers will grow the later we get into the season.
