Bryan Bickell has made progress from his left-leg injury but it sounds like Nikolai Khabibulin hasn’t had the same luck on his lower-body injury as the Chicago Blackhawks returned to practice on Monday morning.

Coach Joel Quenneville said Bickell “progressed” while the Blackhawks continued on their road trip — Bickell went home after getting hurt against Colorado on Nov. 19. But Quenneville said the Blackhawks forward is “still a little bit away” from getting back on the ice.

Quenneville said there’s “no news” on Khabibulin, who suffered his lower-body injury against the Predators on Nov. 16.

Otherwise, the Blackhawks were back to work on Monday. Corey Crawford will start tomorrow night when the Blackhawks host the Dallas Stars at the United Center.

Meanwhile, Duncan Keith was named the NHL’s third star of the week for his six assists in the Blackhawks’ four games last week. Keith’s been playing tremendous hockey as of late, well beyond this past week.

“He’s playing well, he’s defending well. He has a great gap, offensively he has the puck a lot and he’s getting his shot through,” Quenneville said. “He’s producing points as well. That pair has been real solid for us. Duncs had a great stretch, a great trip.”
