The Chicago Blackhawks have cracked the top five in the NHL's most expensive fan experience, according to Yahoo Sports.
In an economic assessment called the Fan Cost Index (FCI), the Blackhawks are ranked fifth in the NHL. The four teams ahead of Chicago include the Toronto Maple Leafs at No. 1 followed by the Vancouver Canucks, Boston Bruins, and New York Rangers.
In the lower end of the spectrum, the Ottawa Senators are considered to having the cheapest NHL fan experience.
Also included in that list are average ticket prices where the Blackhawks rank eighth. The Blackhawks have an average ticket price of $72.95 which is a 16 percent change from last season and also the most increased percentage out of any team. The Florida Panthers are in the lower five of ticket price average with $40.85 and have the most decreased percentage with -26.7.
The NHL average ticket pricing is listed as $61.62 with a 2.3 percent increase.
Maybe not the most exciting news for a Blackhawks fan, but hey, at least you can be thankful that you aren't Toronto, Vancouver, Boston, or New York.
