Bryan Bickell is headed back to Rockford.

He has two assists in 25 games this season with the Blackhawks, and registered a minus-1 rating in the two games since re-joining the team on Wednesday.

The Blackhawks also announced Monday that Dennis Rasmussen was re-assigned and defenseman David Rundblad has been recalled.

Rasmussen had four goals and five assists with a plus-9 rating in 44 games since joining the Blackhawks in December.

Rundblad recorded two assists in nine games this season with the Blackhawks before being loaned to the ZSC Lions of Switzerland's National League A in early January. He also has two goals and two assists in 10 games this season with the IceHogs.

He returned in March after his season overseas ended.

The Calder Cup Playoffs begin next week, so it's possible the Blackhawks want Bickell and Rasmussen staying fresh and playing some meaningful minutes during the stretch run and postseason with Rockford rather than being healthy scratches during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Both of them can be recalled at any time, with the salary cap turned off at the conclusion of NHL regular season.
