Time for Plan B?

The Blackhawks rumored offseason target, Vancouver Canucks center Ryan Kesler, has been traded to the Anaheim Ducks.

The haul for the 29-year-old Kesler was a little lower than expected. The Canucks acquired center Nick Bonino, defenseman Luca Sbisa, and Anaheim's first-round pick (24th overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft. The teams will also swap 2014 third-round selections.

Kesler, a former Selke Trophy winner, registered 25 points and 18 assists in 77 games with Vancouver in 2014.

The 26-year-old Bonino had a breakout campaign in 2014 with the Ducks, accumulating 22 goals and 27 assists in 77 games.

Sbisa, a former first-round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in 2008, had one goal and five assists in 30 games with Anaheim last season.

With the deal, the Canucks now hold two first-round picks  —  6th and 24th overall  — in the NHL Draft.
