Blackhawks sign 2012 second-round pick for three years

The Chicago Blackhawks agreed to terms with defenseman Dillon Fournier on a three-year contract on Monday.

Fournier was the Blackhawks' second-round selection (48th overall) in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

The 19-year-old Fournier has 32 points (13 goals, 19 assists) in 36 games with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He has 108 points (31 goals, 77 assists) in 207 career QMJHL games with Lewiston and Rouyn-Noranda from 2010 to 2013. He was named to the Canadian Hockey League top prospects game following the 2011-12 campaign.
