ST. LOUIS – Antti Raanta will get another start and Sheldon Brookbank will take the No. 6 defenseman spot when the Chicago Blackhawks play the St. Louis Blues tonight at Scottrade Center.

It will be the 14th appearance for Raanta, who is 9-1-2 since being recalled by the Blackhawks prior to their November circus trip. Jaroslav Halak is expected to play for the Blues, who will be without top scorer Alexander Steen (concussion).

Meanwhile, Corey Crawford is on this trip but will not dress. He’s also probably out when the Blackhawks host the Los Angeles Kings on Monday. Coach Joel Quenneville figures Crawford is most likely to play his first in early January, when the Blackhawks have a road back-to-back with the New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils.

“We expect him to be ready for that trip to Long Island and New Jersey,” Quenneville said. “That’s what we’re shooting for.”
