It's no secret that the last week has been tough for the Blackhawks, as the defending champions have gone on to earn just two of a possible eight points after suffering their first four-game losing streak since the 2011-12 season.
After Tuesday's overtime loss to the Calgary Flames, Patrick Kane told reporters that the team's confidence hasn't been an issue throughout this slump; instead it's more about the team experiencing a lull.
But that lull is taking a noticeable hit in the standings as the St. Louis Blues have now surpassed the Blackhawks for the top spot in the Central Division after winning their last three games.
Now all of that can change tonight as the Blackhawks prepare to face the Vancouver Canucks, but as their West Coast trip continues, their schedule won't be easing up.
The Blues are set to face off against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday, followed by the Nashville Predators on Saturday.
